Kyrie Irving’s work on edge end of the court paid off with a take against John Wall and a no-look help to Richard Jefferson late in the second from last quarter of Saturday’s Cleveland Cavaliers versus Washington Wizards amusement.
Irving and Kevin Love consolidated to dog Wall out of a screen-and-move play before Irving gathered up the free ball and made a beeline for the hostile end.
With Jefferson trailing, Irving ran up with the ball in his correct hand before abandoning it for RJ and a layup.
Jefferson was fouled by Washington’s Jason Smith on the shot, however missed the free toss.
Irving completed the third time frame with 21 focuses and three helps.
