Wehrlein missed the opening pre-season test at Barcelona in the wake of harming his in a crash at the Race of Champions in January.
He returned for the second test, finishing four half-days in the C36, and was announced fit to drive by the FIA medicinal group in Australia on Thursday.
“It was never in uncertainty,” Wehrlein said when inquired as to whether there were any worries paving the way to Melbourne.
“I was preparing a great deal this winter and yes perhaps half a month I didn’t prepare as hard as I would have preferred yet I’m once more into preparing for fourteen days now. “Unquestionably the work I did before my harm paid off.”
